How simulation requests, device-only learning records and contact messages are handled.

Updated 14 October 2026 · Free educational beta

Who to contact

TracingsMD provides this free ECG simulator and learning site. For privacy questions or requests about information you send us, contact contact@tracingsmd.com. Our Contact page also provides the address. The beta has no account registration, payment form or patient-information fields.

Live simulations

When you use the Simulator or ECG Lab, your browser sends rhythm settings and simulation requests to our server. The server returns synthetic ECG samples. Active sessions use a temporary identifier and an ownership token to keep each monitor separate. The application holds active session state in memory. Sessions normally expire after about two minutes without activity or thirty minutes total; expiry is checked periodically. Leaving the page requests closure, and server restarts end active sessions.

These are application-session limits, not a promise that hosting-provider logs are deleted at the same time. Do not send patient names, hospital identifiers or other identifiable clinical data.

Information stored on your device

The Simulator remembers display preferences in browser local storage. Saved scenarios, where used, stay on your device. ECG Basics stores completed-lesson identifiers only when you enable Save progress on this device. Learn can store the latest checked result (correct or incorrect) for each practice question when you enable its separate saving option. These saved records do not include the option you selected. These learning records are not sent to our server and do not require an account.

Saving is optional. Stored preferences and learning records remain until you remove them or clear this site's data in your browser. Turning saving off removes that feature's saved records; temporary marks or answers on an already open page may remain until you leave or reset it. The feature's reset or clear controls remove the records described by that control. Browser site-data controls can remove other stored preferences. If storage is blocked, you can still read lessons and practise without persistent records. If the browser prevents saving or removal, the feature shows a warning; use browser site-data controls to remove remaining records.

Files and recorded practice

PNG, video, CSV and JSON downloads are created in your browser from simulated samples. Your browser and device manage downloaded copies. TracingsMD does not upload those copies; device backup or sync settings may store them elsewhere. Files opened in the saved-trace viewer are read locally in your browser and are not uploaded to the simulation server. Learn loads recorded synthetic teaching examples, not patient recordings; checking an answer does not open a live engine session.

Hosting and technical records

Railway hosts the service. Its infrastructure can process connection and request metadata, including IP addresses, browser information, request paths and timing, to deliver and protect the service. TracingsMD's site code contains no third-party advertising, analytics or session-replay script and does not set advertising or login cookies. This describes this application, not the separate websites of our providers.

Infrastructure logs may outlast a live session. Provider retention, recovery and processing locations follow the provider's service and account arrangements; this page does not promise a fixed provider deletion deadline or a Korea-only processing location. You can read Railway's privacy policy and logging documentation. A plan's visible log-history window is not itself a guarantee of physical deletion.

Email correspondence

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use them to respond to your question or correction. Contact email is handled through Zoho Mail. Messages remain in the mailbox until removed; provider trash, recovery or retention settings may retain copies for longer. Please avoid patient-identifying information. For removal requests, email contact@tracingsmd.com. See Zoho's privacy policy for its provider practices.

Your choices and updates

You can use reading and practice features with learning-record saving off, remove saved learning records with their controls, and clear browser site data. Contact us for access, correction or removal requests concerning correspondence you have sent. Technical-provider records are subject to their applicable service and retention arrangements. We will update this page when the site's data handling changes.
